چکیده

currently, white fish or kutum rutilus frisii is considered to be a good candidate for commercial aquaculture. however, little information is available regarding the nutritional requirement of this fish fry. experiments were conducted to examine the effects daphnia magna as live food cultured on two freshwater green algae, chlorella sp. and scenedesmus obliquus enriched with different b group vitamin dosages (0.00 as control, 0.50, 1.00 and 2.00 ml of enriching solution per liter of algae culture medium) on the growth and survival rates of rutilus frisii kutum fry. results demonstrated that increasing in b group vitamin dosages are caused an increasing in nutritional value (kcal) of two freshwater green algae species chlorella sp. and scenedesmus obliquus significantly. significant differences were observed in bwg (%) and sgr between different vitamins treatments both the fed daphnia magna cultured on chlorella sp. and scenedesmus obliquus enriched (p0.05).

Freshwater green algae Chlorella sp. and Scenedesmus obliquus enriched with B group of vitamins can enhance fecundity of Daphnia magna

One of the most important aims of aquatic hatcheries is availability to mass produce of Daphnia magna as a live food with high nutritional value in the shortest time. In the present study, D. magna fed with two freshwater green algae species, Chlorella sp. and Scenedesmus obliquus, enriched with different dosages of a mixture B group vitamins (0, 0.5, 1 and 2 ml.l) were compared at two stages (...

Toxicity of nanoZnO in Daphnia magna fed with ZnO containing Chlorella vulgaris and Scenedesmus dimorphus algae

Nano ZnO is currently used in the rubber, electronics, electrical appliances, enamel, cosmeticsand medical industry. Whereas most studies have used the ecological toxicity of nanoparticles, the toxic effects of nanoparticles in diet is not extensively explored. Because the algaeare at the base of the food chain, any change in their density, biomass and population, wouldaffect the food chain in ...

The effect of dietary lipid level on the growth of kutum fry (Rutilus frisii kutum)

The study was conducted with a completely randomized design consisting of four treatments in triplicates. Experimental diets were formulated to contain four different lipid levels (8, 10, 12 and 14%) at constant protein level (46.8%) and different gross energy of 4314, 4417, 4519 and 4622kcal/kg, respectively. Kutum fry (average weight, 203±4mg) were randomly assigned and distributed at a densi...

Growth Rate, Proximate Composition and Fatty Acid Profile of Juvenile kutum Rutilus frisii kutum Under Light/Dark Cycles

This study investigated the growth rate, proximate composition, and fatty acid profile in juvenile of kutum Rutilus frisii kutum in different dark-light cycles. Fish were stocked randomly in eighteen 2000-L fiberglass tanks and received six photoperiod regimes: natural photoperiod, 24L (light):0D (day), 16L:8D, 12L:12D, 8L:16D and 0L:24D. Application of continuous dark (0L:24D) and an intermedi...
